Summer Shakespeare Festival 1990

The first Shakespeare play was play out in The Supreme Burgrave's House of the Prague´s Castle in 1990 already. The first play was A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Jan Kačer, the premiere took place on 20th of July. Starring Miloš Kopecký as Puck, Eliška Balzarová as Titania, Tomáš Töpfer as Nick Bottom. In supporting roles we could see Eva Horká, Ivan Trojan and Barbora Kodetová. It was confirmed at that time already, that The Supreme Burgrave is extraordinarily inspirational space for theatrical production: the performance was placed on gallery, niche of the stone wall as well as in the middle of the audience.
