Merry Wives of Windsor, William Shakespeare

The Merry Wives of Windsor will be presented at this year´s Summer Shakespeare Festival by the British GB Theatre Company. This year once again English will resound on stage.

Directed by Neil Sheppeck and dressed in beautiful Elizabethan costumes, a company of exquisite actors will amuse you from the stage: the talented Stacey Roca (Mrs Page), Andrew Hodges (Page), David Davies (Ford), Naomi Cortes (Mrs Ford), Barrie Palmer (Justice Shallow), Matt Milburn (Fenton/Bardolf), Gabriel Thomson (Mr Caius), Jim Bywater (Sir Hugh Evans), Luciano Dodero (Pistol), Andrew Mathys (Slender) and many more.

Last but not least, Alexander Delamere´s performance will be an interesting one as he will be the third Falstaff of this year’s edition of the festival (third after the popular Czech actors Bolek Polívka and Norbert Lichý).

The recently founded company will perform in the Czech Republic for the first time. Some of the actors, however, already performed at the festival last year (then as members of British Shakespeare Company), and not without success. Pleased by the last year’s warm-hearted feedback, they are now coming back.
