As You Like It, William Shakespeare

The comedy AS YOU LIKE IT, the charming story from the Forest of Arden, is brought to the Czech Republic by GB Theatre Company. The recently founded company will perform in the Czech Republic for the first time. Some of the actors, however, already hosted at the festival last year (then as members of British Shakespeare Company) with two successful performances.

Besides Elizabethan costumes and perfectly declaimed Shakespeare, in his mother tongue moreover, you can look forward to a number of interesting actors: Gabriel Thomson performing Orlando (Thomson is popular in his home country due to his role in the BBC1 series My Family), Stacey Roca in the role of Celia, Oliver will be played by the good-looker Matt Milburn, Rosalinda by Lucia McAnespie, and Touchstone by Jim Bywater.

The core member of GB Theatre Company is experienced theatre manager and actor David Davides (Jacques).

The play was staged by director and producer Jenny Stephens.
